'The Daily Disappointment'?

Kingston Mayor James Sottile was on Kingston Community Radio this morning, dissing the Freeman because of a recent editorial.

Since the whole interview is online (click on the first link above), I figured I could take some of hizzonner's most repeated quotes out of context and make a fun little techno mix for you to enjoy.

I hope you are not disappointed.

And no, I'm so not getting paid for this.

TMZ gets MJ death first (before he dies)

As reported globally, the gossip site TMZ.com was the first to report that Michael Jackson died, publishing a story at 5:20 p.m. East Coast time on Thursday (click on the image to see the time stamp). That report was quickly followed by other gossip sites, quoting TMZ, which in turn led to some news organizations reporting on multiple reports that the pop icon was dead.

The New York Times reports today that Jackson was pronounced dead a 2:26 p.m.

Western Time.

That's 5:26, six minutes after TMZ's report of his death.

I'm back

Here are some notes about my recent stacation:

* A stacation won't make you feel better about saving money.
* Leaving all your obligations for the last day of your stacation will ensure that none will be done.
* People treat you differently if you don't shave.
* No shirts, no shoes, no service.
* Stacation is not a word.

"Newspapermen Meet Such Interesting People"

I'll tell you quite reliably off the record, that's Pete Seeger in 2006 in Beacon. Read the full lyrics.
